MEDICINE. featuring Zoha Mian
bySAB Diversity Committee
Hello again! This episode features Zoha Mian, a first-year medical student at the University of Louisville’s School of Medicine. We shift to diversity and inclusion issues at ULSOM, and the ways in which the school aims to incorporate a curriculum focused on equity. Zoha shares her experience as a woman of color pursuing a career in medicine, as well as her thoughts on how structural bias can plague the medical school admissions process. Together we discuss some of the causes and manifestations of systemic racism within healthcare and much more.
